Electro acoustic guitar, 12-string, AE construction, solid okoume top, okoume body, 651 mm scale length, mahogany neck, including pickup system
The long-established Japanese manufacturer is expanding its high-quality AE series with the new Ibanez AE2912, a 12-string electro acoustic guitar with special sound characteristics and unusual materials. Due to its construction consisting of a solid Okoume top and body, the instrument produces rich and warm mid-range frequencies, complemented by expressive and rich lows and a delicate chorus effect due to the double stringing. The flat mahogany neck with Katalox fretboard, in combination with a nut width of 48 mm, not only provides for easy fingering and optimal playability up to the highest frets, but is also decorated with an elaborate Wooden Vine inlay. A compensated saddle and a matching nut made of bone guarantee clean intonation over the entire scale length of 651 mm and stand for the unmistakable quality of this instrument. Thanks to the chrome-plated die-cast tuners, the strings of the Ibanez AE2912 can be tuned extremely easily and with lasting stability, so even alternative tunings are no problem. The Ibanez AP11 magnetic pickup system amplifies the warm acoustic sound in a very natural way.
