Ibanez AW300ECE Left Handed Electro A coustic Guitar, Natural The Ibanez Art Wood series would be considered a mid-range entry level guitar due to its price but its far more than that.
Plug the guitar in and at your disposal you have a built in, SST Fishman preamp with a three band EQ, Volume and Shape, which affords the player the ability to round their tone to suit many different types of environments and venues when plugged in. This coupled with the built in tuner will make sure youre always in tune and at concert pitch.
Notable also is the craftsmanship which Ibanez is known for in their necks and this is no different here with the acoustic Art Wood series. Many will find this guitar to be as slick and as fast as most electric guitar necks.
Amplified or unamplified the tone does not vary much and this is a good thing obviously. Plugged into an amp or on its own the guitar really sings and projects. One can play lead parts over rhythm accompaniment without having to dig in to force the sound from the guitar. This enables the tone to remain unaffected to the point where it sounds smooth and transparent compared to sounding too sharp or course if picked too hard.
A nice feature also is the Balanced(XLR) and Unbalanced(1/4 inch Jack) inputs on the guitar, affording one the ability to plug straight into their amp via the 1/4 inch jack or straight into a desk via the XLR connection.
All in all Ibanez have created a guitar that doesnt break the bank, and as Ive found personally, can be used at any level, on your own in you home or to a room of a couple hundred people.
A great sounding guitar that will have you coming back for more every time!
