Like all instruments in the Gio series, the Gio GSR180-CM Bass features tried and tested high manufacturing quality, with an ergonomic soundgear design that makes it a joy to play. The snugly designed body made of lightweight okoumé wood takes a balanced playing position both on the bass strap and on the thigh. With its slim GSR4 neck profile, the bolt-on maple neck allows beginners to play fatigue-free Bass, so that first grooves and basslines can be implemented with ease on the 22-fret Purpleheart fingerboard.

Versatile sound due to Dynamix Single Coils

No matter in which direction the musical journey with the Ibanez GSR180 Bass should go, with its two Ibanez Dynamix J single-coil pickups and the straightforward passive circuit, it always delivers the right bass sound. The signals of both pickups can be mixed with each other via the two volume controls so that a wide range of different timbres is available. From the dry, assertive wire sound of the bridge pickup to the abysmal yet transparent deep bass thrust of the middle pickup, the spectrum of the electric bass guitar ranges, which is given additional variability by the passive treble blend.

At the bridge, the strings are held by the Ibanez B10 bridge, which guarantees a perfect adjustment of intonation and string action thanks to four adjustable string saddles. From there, the strings run with 34" scale length (864 mm) towards the headstock, where they are held by precise die-cast tuners that keep the tuning long and secure.
