Provided with active EMG pickups and a high-quality 5-strip neck in Super Wizard HP profile, the Made in Japan RG electric guitar promises ideal conditions. Its appearance is completed by the Pearl White high gloss finish on the top and headstock, as well as an Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge Double Locking tremolo and Gotoh tuners.

Ibanez Construction and RG Feeling

The body of the Ibanez RG5440C-PW Pearl White is made of African mahogany and not only lies comfortably on the body due to its slim shape but also promises ideal playing conditions due to the generous cutaways and an "All Access Neck Joint" connection to the five-piece maple-beech neck. Accordingly, all 24 jumbo stainless steel frets of the ebony fingerboard are easy to reach and, thanks to the offset dot Inlays as well as luminlay side-dot markings, provide the optimal overview even during dark gigs, allowing riffs and solos to be executed smoothly. The appearance of the RG5440C-PW is rounded off by the Pearl White high-gloss finish, which adorns both the body and the headstock.

The bridge humbucker has a handy coil-split function for ST-type sounds.

Active EMG Pickups

The active HSS pickup configuration offers a varied and powerful sound conversion at the amplifier. Two EMG SA single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets provide an ST-typical clear sound, which convinces with airy highs and wide lows. Due to a Preamp with low impedance, the pickups are almost noise-free without limiting the sound. An EMG 81 with ceramic magnets in bridge position continues to deliver an intense humbucker sound, with high-end cut and smooth sustain. Via a 5-way switch and Master volume and tone controls, all three pickups can be adjusted and the humbucker can be used as a single-coil via the split function.

At the head of the 5-string neck sit 6-in-line Gotoh tuners, for stable tunings and easy string changes.

Lo-Pro Edge Tremolo and features

Resilient Ibanez chrome hardware completes the RG5440C-PW Pearl White, making it a flexible electric guitar for any gig, in the studio, or at home. With an Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge double-locking tremolo, dive-bombs and squals can be executed via buttery-smooth whammy arm movements, while the tremolo system works in tandem with the matching locking nut to keep the strings in proper tune. Gotoh tuners also make string changes and tunings a breeze.
