The Ibanez Standard RG8-WH White is not without reason the recommendation par excellence for the entry into the world of extended range guitars. The 8-string electric guitar offers a 27-inch scale for optimum string tension and tight response in the low registers. With the generous RG cutaways, the mahogany body also offers unimpeded access to the high positions of the five-part maple walnut neck, which with the flat "Wizard II-8" profile offers smooth playability over the entire range. Two Ibanez IBZ-8 humbuckers with ceramic magnets deliver cleanly defined sounds with assertive mids even in the distortion channel. Last but not least, the Ibanez Fixed Bridge and precise die-cast tuners guarantee reliable intonation and stable tuning.
Ibanez Standard RG8-WH WhiteProbably the best 8-string for its price. Pickups are not bad, but you may want to replace it. Thin neck perfectly fits in your hand. Volume knob is located inconveniently for my playing style, so i swapped it with tone knob and get rid of it.
This 8-strings guitar is the most "value for price" instrument by far in this category. Its stable at standard tuning, while the amazing Ibanez neck is "strong", tight and fast enough with matte finish for even faster movement up and down the fretboard, and considering the technology of Ibanez guitars its price seems almost a joke!!! Surely no other cheaper instrument at this price range.
