Based on the popular multi-scale construction, the Ibanez RGMS8 has individual scale lengths for each string, which increase from 25.5 inches for the highest to 27.3 inches for the lowest string, thus guaranteeing precise sound development even with extreme drop tunings. The Nyatoh body with burl poplar top offers the familiar sleek RG contours with wide Cutaways and All Access Neck Joint for unimpeded access to the high positions of the maple-walnut neck, which has a flat "Wizard III-8" profile.
Two Ibanez Array-8 MS humbuckers deliver tight metal sounds with an assertive growl thanks to the special tuning for low tunings.

Another striking feature of the Ibanez Standard RGMS8PB-CBS Cosmic Blue Starburst are the angled Ibanez Array-8 MS humbuckers. Specially developed for modern drop tunings, the pickups impress with a dynamic and tight sound that precisely defines every note and gives every riff or solo enormous assertiveness with a distinctive growl. A 5-way blade switch and general volume and tone controls are available to control the pickups, which can be used to call up a wide range of timbres.

The Ibanez Standard RGMS8 also impresses with its indestructible hardware equipment, which is perfectly matched to the 8-string guitar. The build is excellent on this guitar, especially for what you're paying. I would maybe swap the pickups if I'm being overly picky but the guitar as a whole plays and performs solidly!
