With its contoured Nyatoh body shaped in the iconic Soundgear design, the SR300E fits comfortably against the body, whether sitting or standing. The bolt-on neck is constructed from five pieces of maple and walnut and features the flat, fast “SR4” profile, which allows quick runs and intricate grooves to glide smoothly along the jatoba fingerboard.
Together with the active 3-band tone control, the PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups of the Ibanez SR300E ensure tonal versatility.
PowerSpan humbucker with active 3-band tone control
The SR300E-DOT is equipped with a pair of Ibanez PowerSpan dual-coil pickups, specifically developed for this series. Paired with the active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ, the bass delivers everything from articulate jazz and funk tones to gritty rock growl and deep low-end punch—handling even lower tunings with clarity and precision.
The coils of the pickups can be called up in different combinations using the Power Tap switch.
Power tap switch for sound variability
A standout feature is the Power Tap switch, which lets you toggle between three modes: series humbucker,single-coil (tap), and Power Tap. The tap mode offers clear, defined single-coil tones, while Power Tap blends in added low-end depth for a fuller, more rounded sound.
Tuning-stable Ibanez die-cast bass tuners guarantee correct tuning of the SR300 electric bass.
High-quality Hardware with unshakeable reliability
Rounding off the SR300E-DOT is dependable hardware in Cosmo Black. The Accu-Cast B120 bridge ensures solid tone transfer and sustain, with individual saddles for precise intonation and a 19 mm string spacing ideal for a confident playing style. Ball-end loading makes string changes fast and easy. Meanwhile, die-cast tuners on the headstock ensure the bass stays reliably in tune.
I had this bass, sold it but I am think of buying it again. Very well made and very good sound. Rarely goes out of tune. Nice, funky, rounded sound for wide range of genres.

An amazing instrument for the money. Low weight, excellent tones, smoothest and least sticky neck I've used on any guitar/bass in this price range. Had it for about 3 weeks now, can't find a fault on it. Sure, it doesn't sound quite like a bass 10 times the price, but I would gig with this any day.
