If there is one overdrive pedal that can be classified as "legendary" and "special", even must be classified, then it is clearly the Ibanez Tube Screamer. In the used market, devices of the first series achieve top prices and this is not by chance. When the TS808 came on the market at the end of the 1970s, artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn or Gary Moore discovered that this green clumsy box the amp properly heated up. Not so much with its rather restrained, silky distortion ability, but with the potential to respond extraordinarily dynamically and add some serious poundage to a single-channel tube amp.

The Ibanez TS9 is the successor to the legendary TS808 with the correct circuitry and ingredients. For years, the pedal is the most important part of countless pedalboards.
