The J&D D-110-12 12-String Acoustic Guitar Natural is a well made and very competitively priced beginner’s instrument. The tone is derived from a combination of mahogany back and sides and a spruce top adding a slight brightness.
12 string guitars provide an extremely rich harmonic palette of sounds with each string being doubled with a higher octave. Because of this 12 strings tend to be higher priced instruments however J&D have managed to find way to allow this into a more budget minded market without compromising build quality.

Fort the money, it is remarkable value. Great tone.
The finish is a little rough in places, and the frets are a touch too high, but, all in all, easy to play.
I restrung mine with some decent quality strings, (D'Addario), and it makes a big difference to the sound.
I have a 53 year old Framus 12 string and this guitar complements it greatly, as I can now tune the 2 differently for ease of playing certain songs.
For the price, it is simply remarkable. How do they make and ship it for this amount!?
I bought 2 of these 3 years ago (1 for standard tuning and another for experimental tunings) and they are brilliant purchases for the money. Top tip: order too, a set of light gauge elixir 12 string pack to restring after using for a few weeks and unlock the sonic capabilities that a 12 string can have. Also, added benefit of not having to change the strings for many months, while retaining optimal resonance etc.
