The JB Systems Space-4 Mk2 is a compact single-color show laser featuring a powerful 50mW green laser (class 3B). Its sturdy yet lightweight design, weighing just 1.35 kg, makes it perfect for easy transport. The laser can be controlled via DMX or the included IR remote control. With pre-programmed shows and patterns, it’s ready to use right out of the box. Additionally, the built-in microphone enables Sound2Light mode, allowing the laser to sync its automatic light show to the beat of the music. Ideal for small venues, party rooms, and similar settings.
Because the laser beam is highly concentrated, all its light energy is focused on a very small area. If this beam hits the human eye, it can cause damage – especially if someone looks directly into the beam. However, when the beam is deflected, as is usually the case with compact show laser systems due to their scanning units, the intensity and thus the risk are significantly reduced.
Lasers and laser-containing devices are classified according to their potential hazard under the accident prevention regulation on laser radiation (BGV B2). Around 99% of compact show lasers currently available – and all those we offer – fall under protection classes 3a and 3b. These devices require official approval.
For safe operation at public events, a laser protection officer (according to radiation protection rules under VBG 93 §6 (BGV-B2)) must be appointed. When installing laser systems in public venues such as clubs, multipurpose halls, or restaurants, the equipment must be approved by the locally responsible TÜV (Technical Inspection Agency) or the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association.
