With the OMNIA IMPACT SD, JICO simplifies the setup for club DJs, as the cartridge system is already pre-mounted on a JICO headshell. It is mounted on the turntable directly on the SME lock of the tonearm. Following the example of the J44 models, IMPACT was created from various experiments during the cartridge manufacturing process. With a powerful "PUNCH" in the low-end range, the pickup gives the Bass a full, fat sound from the record groove. Compared to the J44 models, this new JICO product with an increased number of coil windings in the pickup achieves a very balanced and powerful sound reproduction. The Japanese-made N44-7 DJ IMPROVED SD stylus is crisp and clear in the higher frequencies. Designed for club DJs with control vinyls - track fidelity included. Scratch DJs can use IMPACT, but it is not recommended by JICO. JICO "SD" styli are made entirely of synthetic diamonds. Synthetic diamonds (SD) are man-made diamonds that have the same chemical composition, crystal structure, optical/physical properties and hardness as natural diamonds (ND). Natural diamonds vary in hardness due to their natural formation, while synthetic diamonds offer the advantage of consistent hardness. The shape of the SD points is conical. Their guaranteed playback time has been set at 200 hours. The J44 models of the JICO brand are a replacement for the iconic SHURE M44 cartridges.
