Designed in close collaboration with Instagram guitarist and fretboard overachiever Mateus Asato, the Jackson Audio El Guapo turns out to be one of the most comprehensive overdrive/distortion pedals on the market. This incredibly versatile distortion pedal offers a variety of control options. On the one hand via MIDI and the innovative Gain Cycle function for smooth transitions, from slightly thickened cleans to classic crunch, to solo distortion. This allows four different gain stages within the set gain value and lowers it to 25%, 50% or 75%, so that the right sound is always available for verse, Chorus and solo during the song. The overdrive circuit offers four different presets ranging from classic screamer character to asymmetrical and symmetrical clipping to the coveted Brit drive, while the distortion presets offer distinctive Rat tones, Guv'nor-style distortion and two additional high gain modes. For further tone shaping, the Jackson Audio El Guapo pedal features a global 3-band equalizer that can be fine-tuned for each band in terms of Q and frequency using the internal trim pots.
