Thanks to the flowing neck and wide cutaway, the continuous neck of the Masterbuilt Soloist can be played up to the highest registers.
Neck-through construction with fast neck
The Masterbuilt SL2H, built in the popular Soloist design, impresses with extremely agile playing characteristics that make lightning-fast solos come out of the hand with tremendous ease. The heart of the electric guitar is the full-length neck made of Quartersawn Maple, which, with its flat Speed Neck profile and the ebony fingerboard with compound radius, offers the perfect racetrack for agile lightning fingers. The flowing neck heel and the wide Cutaways of the alder body also allow unhindered access to the highest registers.
Seymour Duncan '59 and JB pickups deliver cleanly articulated clean and overdrive tones. The D-Tuna on the Floyd Rose Original Tremolo allows you to retune to Drop D.
Hot Seymour Duncan Pickups
As pickup for the Custom Soloist SL2H Ferrari Red Jackson Masterbuilder Joe Williams chooses two humbuckers from Seymour Duncan. While the Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker on the neck delivers warm clean and singing overdrive tones, the Seymour Duncan JB Trembucker on the bridge takes no prisoners and delivers aggressive distortion tones whose sharply focused mids and highs portray every note with absolute precision. A classic 3-way circuit with general volume and tone controls grants control over timbre.
The reversed headstock is equipped with precise Gotoh tuners.
Floyd Rose Tremolo
The Custom Soloist SL2H Ferrari Red Masterbuilt electric guitar naturally comes with a Floyd Rose original double-locking tremolo that can handle even the most unrestrained whammy bar action with dive bombs and squeals with absolute tuning stability. A practical detail is the EVH D-Tuna on the low E-string, which can be used to tune the guitar to Drop D in a flash. Gotoh tuners on the razor-sharp reversed headstock also ensure precise tuning.
