With the Jackson Pro Origins 1985 Limited Edition San Dimas SD1 HS FR, Jackson goes back to its own roots and brings a model that is clearly oriented towards the LA shred era of the 80s, both visually and conceptually. The alderbody provides great handling, while the bolt-on maple neckwith Speed neck profile is designed for fast playing. For modern playing technique, Jackson combines the concept with current performance features: The ebony fingerboard has a 12"-16" compound radius, so that chords in the lower registers can be comfortably picked and bendings in high registers remain possible without dropouts. The Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and Hot Rails (neck) cover a wide spectrum from classic high-gain rhythm sounds to focused lead sounds, while the 3-way switch and volume/tone control allow quick control in live use. For expressive vibrato techniques, a Floyd Rose 1000 Series Double-LockingTremolo is used, which is designed for stability thanks to the locking construction. As a Limited edition, the model is primarily aimed at anyone who wants to combine the classic Jackson-San Dimas style with contemporary features and reliable stage hardware.
