The Jackson Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Soloist SL7 EB Satin Black is the ultimate seven-string weapon, built to meet the demands of Arch Enemy guitarist Jeff Loomis. Engineered for precision high-speed riffing and expressive soloing, this signature model combines cutting-edge design with premium hardware and electronics. Thanks to the extended 26.5" scale length (673 mm) and iconic Soloist body shape, the SL7 delivers tight low-end response and exceptional playability across all seven strings. At the heart of its tone are active Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Blackouts, designed for searing high-gain performance with articulate note definition. Rounding out the feature set are a Floyd Rose 1500 Series tremolo system and Jackson die-cast tuners, making this guitar a serious tool for any professional stage or studio setup.
The Jackson Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Soloist SL7 EB Satin Black is a 7-string guitar optimized for precise high-speed riffing and strumming.
The smooth transition between the neck and the body makes it easy to reach the higher registers.
7-String Soloist with long scale length.
Jeff Loomis’ SL7 EB signature model is based on Jackson’s renowned Soloist platform, a favorite among players for its fluid playability and ergonomic design. The 26.5" scale ensures clarity and punch, even in lower tunings. A neck-through maple neck offers enhanced sustain and smooth access to upper frets, while the compound-radius ebony fingerboard and flat “Speed Neck” profile allow fast, effortless movement across all 24 frets. The guitar’s sleek, modern aesthetic is enhanced by a sandblasted ash top over basswood body wings, giving it a menacing metal edge.
Jeff Loomis Signature pickups from Seymour Duncan deliver commanding metal tones with precise representation of every note, even at maximum gain on the amp.
Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Blackouts
Powering the tone are Jeff Loomis Signature Seymour Duncan Blackouts, a set of active humbuckers that blend the aggressive output of passive pickups with the clarity and noise reduction of actives. Loaded with Alnico V magnets, these pickups deliver crushing distortion with crystal-clear note separation, perfect for complex riffing and articulate leads. Clean tones are equally impressive, offering warmth and definition. Controls are streamlined to a single volume knob and 3-way selector switch, letting players focus on performance.
Jackson die-cast tuners precisely tune the Pro Series Jeff Loomis Soloist SL7 to the correct pitch.
Floyd Rose 1500 tremolo
The Floyd Rose 1500 Series tremolo provides rock-solid tuning stability and smooth response for expressive techniques like dive bombs and squeals. This professional-grade bridge holds intonation even under extreme tremolo use. Jackson die-cast tuners offer precise tuning adjustments, while Dunlop strap locks ensure the guitar stays securely in place, whether on stage or in the studio.

Jackson Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Soloist SL7 EB Satin Black
Excellent guitar! The thin speed neck is very comfortable, it almost doesn't feel like a 7 string. I was a bit worried about the tension of strings on 26.5" scale length, but it is also pretty fine. Floyd Rose is my personal number one choice, and the Floyd Rose 1500 with a pop-in tremolo arm on this guitar is awesome. I guess not so many 7 string guitars generally have a Floyd. And of course, Seymour Duncan Blackouts are real beasts, I enjoy their sound a lot. And the looks.... oh, the looks. Well, just check the pictures yourselves and imagine it being even better in real life. The sandblasted ash is so captivating! As I said in the title, it is the best 7 string guitar that I could find for me without selling my organs for money.
