With the Profiler Rack MK 2, Kemper introduces the next generation of its renowned amp modeler in a practical 19" rack format. This new version stays true to the look of its legendary predecessor while delivering numerous new features designed to meet the needs of studios, stages, and demanding producers alike. In addition to noticeably improved performance, the MK 2 rack provides more effects, expanded routing options, faster preset changes, and an enhanced USB audio interface with eight channels for multitrack recording or re-amping. For those seeking a compact yet comprehensive all-rounder for the rack, the Profiler Rack MK 2 is the perfect choice.
With the Profiler Remote MK 2, Kemper launches the updated version of its proven floor controller, an ideal companion for the new MK 2 series. Whether paired with the Profiler Head MK 2, the Profiler Rack MK 2, or older models, the Remote MK 2 offers direct control over all key Kemper functions, making it indispensable for rehearsals and live performances. With features such as additional effect slots, faster preset switching, USB multitrack audio, and an improved performance mode, direct access to sounds, effects, and live functions has never been more important. Beyond rig switching and effect bypass, the Remote also gives access to tap tempo, tuner, and looper functions.
At the core of the MK 2 series is a significantly expanded effects section. With a total of 20 effect blocks, seven of them new, the Profiler Rack MK 2 unlocks new creative freedom for complex setups. Additions include a second noise gate, a compressor, wah-wah, vintage chorus, air chorus, and a double tracker. All effects can be freely arranged in custom signal chains and precisely controlled via dedicated buttons and screen navigation. The internal looper has also been upgraded, now offering up to two minutes of recording time, perfect for practice layering, sketching song ideas, or live improvisation.
Another standout feature of the MK 2 series is its native USB audio interface with eight channels, enabling seamless multitrack recording, re-amping, or direct DAW integration. At the same time, Kemper is ushering in a new era of digital profiling: the upcoming Liquid Profiling will capture over 100,000 frequency points per profile, creating an even more detailed reproduction of the original amplifier. Gain structure and tone behavior will also be modeled with exceptional accuracy, taking authentic amp profiling to the next level.
In addition to significantly improved boot performance (around 20 seconds), the Profiler Rack MK 2 features noticeably faster navigation, particularly when switching presets or working in performance mode. The user interface remains familiar, with numerous dedicated buttons and knobs ensuring intuitive operation without unnecessary menus. The 19" rack format delivers a robust and reliable solution for touring setups, while its clear layout and extensive connectivity also make it an excellent fit for demanding studio environments.
