I was a little concerned about stability of these as they are obviously a lot cheaper than the apparently professional overhead stands K&M make with the more heavily engineered bases, but figured they'd be good enough. The stands are nicely weighted so stability is not an issue at all - they aren't going to fall unless knocked pretty hard or set up on an unstable surface.
These fold down pretty nicely and are everything I could think to want in overhead stands.
Purchased two of these stands to mount my overhead mics I use to capture my cymbals for both live and recording. They are very well made heavy and robust.
They have a large footprint so are very stable. They have great reach and height so I can get them wherever I want for optimum mic positioning.
I Highly recommend them.
