With the phase8, Korg presents an extraordinary synthesizer that makes use of specially developed acoustic synthesis. This is neither typically analog nor digital and is based on haptic interaction with physical bodies. The 8 differently tuned metal resonators are set in vibration by electromagnetic impulses and can be adjusted and modulated in their sound and volume progression using physical controls. Functions such as envelope shaping, sequencing, analog wavefolding and pitch-dependent modulation are available for this purpose.
The sound behavior of the resonators depends largely on how they are interacted with. Touching, striking, plucking or contact with other objects such as small and large coins, a piece of wood, a whisk or an empty Edding sleeve... this and much more really has different effects and is worth exploring. The resonators can easily be exchanged for other pieces if required. In addition to the three resonators manufactured exclusively by Korg Berlin, five further resonators are already included in the scope of delivery, which means that the phase8 can be used with different scales and is capable of completely different sounds.
The integrated step sequencer supports the eight-voice polyphony of the sound generation and allows the recording of controller movements. In addition, individual steps can be skipped, resulting in polymetric rhythms. Furthermore, a total of 8 patterns can be saved, each with a pattern length of 8 steps.

The phase8 will be launched with three limited edition resonators manufactured by KORG Berlin.
