Instead of resting on the famous Ludwig sound over and over again, the U.S. luxury manufacturer has decided to send a new sound scheme into the ring and expand its Ludwig identity by a spectrum: KEYSTONE X!

The classic Ludwig Maple layers for the Keystone X Series are coated with American Red Oak on the inside and outside. This special oak wood gives the boilers a kind of equalizer by focusing and above all articulating the sound. Furthermore, the special construction creates a voluminous, powerful sound with an extra portion of attack. For additional resonance, the 45° burrs in the middle provide a perfect fit for the percussion skin.
