The Hammer 88 Pro from M-Audio is a clearly arranged USB/DAW & MIDI Controller with a generously dimensioned place for a Arpeggiator, 16 pads, 8 knob, 9 faders and chord mode. The keyboard has a well playable 88-key keyboard with hammer action, is sturdily built and is equally suitable for use on stage and in the studio. The 16 velocity sensitive pads are ideal for recording accented drums & percussion. The built-in Arpeggiator is directly usable via the keyboard with several playback patterns. In addition, a chord function is integrated that allows you to play entire chords with just one finger. Besides the transport keys, all controls are prepared as shortcuts for different DAW applications. Since the Hammer 88 Pro has MIDI inputs and outputs, it can be used as a fully-fledged MIDI interface for instruments that do not have their own USB port. Connectors for sustain and expression pedal as well as two footswitches round out the features functionally. The iPad/note stand is removable.
