MFB TT/CO/CL-522

MFB TT/CO/CL-522 is a drum module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format based on an extended circuit of the MFB-522 Tom/Conga and Clave, whose sounds can be edited and modulated more extensively. It is possible to control the sound parameters decay, tune and pitch (tom/conga only) with CV signals from envelopes, LFOs, step sequencers and other modules. The module can be triggered with different signals. It does not necessarily have to be an analog or digital trigger signal; drum pads, piezo or dynamic microphones can also be used. The Sens control adjusts the input sensitivity. With dynamic triggers not only the volume but also tone length and pitch are influenced.

The parameters of the MFB TT/CO/CL-522 in detail

Tom/Conga:

• DECAY controls the decay time, which can be up to one second
• TUNE tunes the tom in a range of about 80 to 150 Hz (conga from 120 to 200 Hz)
• PITCH controls the duration and intensity of the pitch change
• With ATTACK the stop of the Tom/Conga is adjusted
• Switching between Tom and Conga is done by the trigger pulse

Clave:

• DECAY controls the decay time
• TUNE tunes the clave in a range of about 800 to 1500 Hz

The module also has the newly developed M-Bus connection. A MIDI keyboard can easily trigger the module and change knobs via an appropriate MIDI-CV interface or sequencer. The TT/CO/CL-522 module supports the following signals: Trigger MIDI Note Tom #41 or #43, Conga #63 or #64, Clave #76 or #77, switchable, with velocity.
