I used it as a row of 4 bass-traps one on top of the other making a total high of 240 cm, so covering from 30 cm above the floor to the sealing.
Also for the professional look like I needed in my recording studio, the bass-traps are behind DIY large acoustic panels I made from wood, rock-wool and fabric, so the result is the bass absorption from the bass-traps and the extra absorption of the panels.
Basically these bass-traps were an easier way to get more absorption volume which could have been gathered with lots of rock-wool triangles, but more work cutting and fitting.
At first I was a little sceptical about this item. Would it work, would it treat the acoustics in my studio? Well.. it did the work wonderfully! The bass sounds great now, without any over distortion or too much loudness. It is really easy to apply on the walls and my studio looks great now.
Great for the price and the low end is really tighter now than before.
I ordered 6 of them for the corners behind the speakers. If you have not more than a 12.5 m2 rooms you dont need tuned bass-traps that costs a fortune. You need an overall acoustic treatment so dont hesitate to buy these ones.
But 2 of them were damaged on the sides and 1 was not cut properly and i see the marks. Feeling that they arent new so watch out music store about the products you send. :-)
