I use for practicing as well as live.
It can be used to thicken up your overdrive/distorted tone, which is how Zakk Wylde uses this pedal, and for watery, sparkly cleans. Think intro to Sanitarium by Metallica.
The operation is more simple than it looks but again 5 knobs are a bit much. The Level knob doesnt work as a volume but rather to determine how much of the effect will be added to your signal.
Rate and Depth are self-explanatory.
The High-Low Cut is a great feature to taylor your tone more precisely. Of course it all depends on your rig (bright or dark) but it did come in handy for me.
I found that this is not a pedal to be used with all the knobs pointing at noon. Its to be customized to the bone.
At this price range its a no brainer!
For those who are interested, this is true-bypass and all analog circuit.
