With the MB301 Bass Synth, MXR is launching an effects pedal that combines classic synthesizer sound with modern pedalboard suitability. Under the hood is an extremely flexible monophonic synth that has been specially developed for bass guitar. Eight presets provide a stylistic range from funk to Electro to atmospheric synth-pop. Each sound is based on carefully selected oscillator and filter combinations and can be customized in seconds. Thanks to the shape and voice buttons, you can choose between different waveforms and additional sound components such as sub-oscillators or octave functions. Particularly practical: all presets are fully editable and can be influenced in real time via expression or tap input, making the MB301 Bass Synth Pedal perfect for dynamic live situations or spontaneous sound changes in the studio.

Simple operation and versatile sound shaping

MXR has provided the MB301 with six controls that allow access to the most important sound parameters: The Mix control allows the effect component to be finely tuned to the dry bass signal, while the Sub control provides additional depth. Envelope and Mod can be used to control envelopes and modulation depth, which is particularly useful for percussive sounds or rhythmic playing styles. Operation is extremely simple, meaning that both beginners and experienced synth enthusiasts will find their way around immediately. The robust housing with soft-touch footswitch guarantees maximum reliability in live use, while the clearly structured user interface facilitates creative access.
