The Mackie Thump15Sv4 is an active 15" PA subwoofer designed to provide a powerful, precise bass foundation in mobile and fixed sound reinforcement systems. With its 15" high-performance woofer and 1,400 watt Class-D power amplifier, it delivers powerful low frequencies and is ideal for extending matching full-range tops. The frequency range of 27 Hz to 160 Hz and a maximum sound pressure level of 132 dB SPL make the Thump15Sv4 a powerful solution for live applications, DJs, events and rehearsal rooms.
The flexible adaptation to different speaker systems is particularly practical. The crossover frequency can be switched to optimally tune the subwoofer to compatible tops. Presets of 140 Hz for Thump12v4, 110 Hz for Thump15v4 and 150 Hz for Thump GO are available for this purpose. Furthermore, the crossover frequency can be variably adjusted so that other tops can also be easily integrated. The setup is complemented by a phase reverse switch and a mono/stereo switch, which offers additional flexibility for system customization.
The Mackie Thump15Sv4 is also designed for professional use when it comes to connections. Two balanced XLR inputs and four balanced XLR outputs are available, divided into two full-range and two high-pass outputs. This allows the subwoofer to be easily integrated into existing PA setups. An input gain control and an overload LED facilitate level control during operation. Peak and RMS limiters and a thermal protection circuit ensure additional operational safety, reliably protecting the system even under high loads.
In everyday use, the Thump15Sv4 impresses with its robust and user-friendly design. Integrated carrying handles make transportation and handling easier, while the front LED, which can be switched off, supports use on stages or in more discreet setups. An optional SPM400 distance rod can be used via the M20 thread to mount a head directly on the subwoofer. This makes the Mackie Thump15Sv4 a versatile and powerful solution for anyone who wants to add a dry, powerful bass foundation to their PA system.
