The Richter Anti-Oscillator Malekko is an analog wave shaping oscillator with Triangle Core. As part of the Richter series, the module is designed for the Eurorack format. The special feature of the Anti-Oscillator is the Mayhem Output , which starts with a square wave and transforms into twisted, animated waveforms via the "Init Wave " control or modulation. As with a standard VCO one, the oscillator has a 1V/O, linear and exponential FM input, and a knob for fine and coarse frequency adjustment.
The Mayhem Output of the Malekko Richter anti-oscillator produces multiple new waveforms by modulation in contrast to a standard waveshaper. The Wave Env CV input is available for this purpose. When Init Wave is in its initial position and rotated step by step, the square wave transforms into a twisted, animated waveform. So you can alternately create organic, metallic and PWM fat sounds with this module. But the timbres are one thing for sure: eccentric and rich in harmonies. Ideal for a filter for "biting in"!
The Waveshaper CV Attenuator ( Wave Env) is normalized with the Triangle Output when no input is connected. Linear and exponential CV input are also internally wired to the Mayhem Output . The Malekko Anti-Oscillator is known for its fat and rich sounds and FM response. The interaction with the Richter Oscillator II results in fantastic modulations, which are filtered by the Richter Dual Borg perfect form.
The Malekko Richter series consists of a series of modules that offer the same great sounds, ergonomics, quality and musicality that made the Wiard 300 series legendary. All Module of the Richter series were developed in cooperation with Grant Richter von Wiard and are designed for the Eurorack format.
