8-step gate Sequenzer module with four tracks

The Malekko Varigate 4 is a four-track 8-step gate Sequenzer module whose parameters PROBABILITY, REPEAT and DELAY can be edited per step. Additionally GLOBAL parameters can be controlled. A CLOCK INPUT allows synchronization to external clock signals. The RESET Gate Input resets the sequences to the first step. With the RANDOMIZER, Varigate 4 also offers random functions for both REPEAT and DELAY parameters. The additional possibility to save the sequences makes this compact module the perfect live performance tool.

  • CLK IN: Clock input with LED display
  • RESET: Gate input to reset to step 1 and LED display
  • PROBABILITY: controls the probability factor of whether a step outputs a gate signal.
  • REPEAT: controls the number of repetitions of a step
  • DELAY: controls the delay of a step
  • RANDOMIZER: random generator for REPEAT and DELAY
  • LED BAR GRAPH: shows the current step to be changed and a final overview of all changed steps
  • LEDs for A,B,C and D indicate the output of a gate pulse for each channel
  • GLOBAL MODE: TEMPO COARSE - this parameter changes the internal clock between 30 and 255 BPM.
  • TEMPO FINE - this parameter changes the internal clock in +/- 25 BPM steps.
  • CLOCK DIVIDE - this parameter divides the internal or external clock by a factor of 1 to 8.
  • PULSEWIDTH - this parameter changes the length of the output gate signals between a pulse width of 20% and 80%.
