Marian's Clara AD+ XLR is a PCIe audio interface with 32 audio channels in a single slot width. The balanced analog inputs and outputs are located directly on the motherboard. The digital AES/EBU connectors are designed as D-Sub connectors without additional electronics, so that they can be placed versatile in the computer housing or installed with the slot bracket next to other PCIe components. An auto-mute function protects connected equipment from level jumps by muting the analog outputs at system startup.
With a dynamic range of 115 dB and a THD+N of less than 0.001 % at -1 dBfs, the device offers detailed signal processing. An output level of +15 dBu ensures robust and level-resistant signal transmission. Analog and digital processing is performed at 24 bit and 192 kHz throughout, without reducing the number of available channels.
The software-activated SRCs enable flexible integration of digital audio signals with different sample rates. This makes it easy to integrate different digital devices without separate synchronization lines.
Each input signal can be integrated into up to 8 mix sums and output to any output. The integrated latency-free BEAST mixer enables direct mixing of DAW signals. In addition, up to 4 parametric
Multiple Clara or Seraph cards can be synchronized via the TDM SyncBus and used as a combined sound system within an ASIO application. Up to 8 audio signals can be exchanged between different cards, allowing flexible system expansion. In addition, the word clock input and output enable precise synchronization with external digital audio devices for robust and jitter-free signal processing.
