Solid construction
Delivering its distinctive, resonant sound, the Martin 000-18 is crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. This tried-and-true combination produces a beautifully balanced tonal response with warm mids, detailed overtones, and rich projection. Enhancing the top’s resonance is Martin’s Golden Era X-bracing, a deeply scalloped pattern that encourages more dynamic vibration, improving both bass response and overall tonal complexity. With its Grand Concert 000 body shape, the guitar excels in a variety of settings – from intimate studio sessions to live acoustic performances.
Ergonomic neck
Designed for optimum comfort, the Selected Hardwood neck features Martin’s Golden Era Modified Low Oval profile, offering a smooth grip that appeals to both modern and traditional players. The ebony fingerboard is ultra-thin and rounded at the edges for enhanced comfort, while the shorter 632 mm scale length reduces string tension, making it easier to play, especially for fingerstyle or extended sessions. Tuning and intonation remain precise and stable thanks to nickel-plated open-gear tuners, a 44.5 mm nut, and a compensated bone saddle. Every detail of the 000-18 has been optimized for an inspiring playing experience.
