The Martin 000-28 Custom at a glance
With a special edition of the classic 000-28, the traditional U.S. manufacturer from Nazareth in Pennsylvania impressively proves what is behind the term custom store. The instrument is made of the finest, selected precious woods, which are carefully matched and processed with great dedication. Thus, the acoustic guitar produces a crystal-clear sound with warm midrange and assertive treble frequencies, which decay long-lasting in the overtones. Furthermore, the flat neck with Modified-Low-Oval profile promises excellent playability in all 20 frets, which intonate cleanly thanks to the finely notched nut and compensated bridge inlay. Smooth tuners are inserted into the traditional headstock, guaranteeing precise tuning of the 6 steel strings. Visually, the guitar is enriched by cream-colored body bindings and filigree inlays in Style-28. In addition, the gauzy high-gloss finish allows a deep look at the even grain of the installed tonewoods. The guitar comes in a molded hardshell case.

Structure and woods
To add substance to the sound of the compact guitar, the top is made of Adirondack spruce. The wood from North America's Adirondack Mountains has been used to build high-quality acoustic guitars since the early 20th century, as it has ideal sound characteristics thanks to its density and even grain. Madagascar rosewood back and sides, meanwhile, enrich the instrument's character with a charmingly warm note, so that even a light touch on the strings produces a comprehensive and rich tone. The Select Hardwood neck is fitted with an ebony fingerboard that is easy and accommodating in all frets. The bridge and Headplate are lovingly matched with ebony and Madagascar rosewood to the material of the fingerboard and body.

Hardware and design
For the perfect sound development and intonation of all frets, the saddle and the 44.45 mm wide nut made of bone provide. At the same time, the high-quality Grover nickel tuners promise easy string tuning and add a timeless touch with their butterbean buttons. The fretboard features filigree Diamonds-and-Squares inlays made of mother-of-pearl, which clearly contrast the dark wood. The individual components of the body are bordered by subtle Bindings, which are an excellent color match to the honey aging toner of the top and transition into a Style-28 checker purfling at the back. The soundhole is surrounded by a Style-28 Boltaron rosette, which completes the overall look in a very aesthetic way in combination with the large tortoise pickguard.
