The Martin Guitars 0X2MAE from the renowned guitar manufacturer Martin from Nazareth, Pennsylvania presents a compact and inexpensive 0-14 fret acoustic guitar with a body completely made of HPL (High-Pressure-Laminated) woods. In terms of sustainability, this is not a bad idea, as only wood composites such as a high-pressure compound of paper chips and phenolic resin are used here. Surprisingly the typical Martin sound results in an amazingly woody sound spectrum with warm basses, vocal and nuanced mids and crystal clear highs. Made of HPL, the Martin 0X2MAE is very insensitive to external influences such as temperature or humidity fluctuations and is therefore ideally suited as an "anytime and anywhere guitar". The shortened scale length of 633mm and the relatively flat high-performance neck profile achieves an astonishingly soft playability, while a compensated bridge insert made of Graph Tech TUSQ ensures clean intonation and a flat string position. The Fishman Sonitone pickup is available for a successful stage performance, offering a dynamic and natural amplified sound.
