Thanks to its lightweight construction consisting of ultra-thin Koa-Fine veneer, the Martin C1 Uke produces a warm yet powerful sound that comes through on both strumming and Pickings. The medium sized body of the concert ukulele also impresses with an exceptionally well-balanced sound ratio, which is especially beneficial for beginners. In addition, the flat neck made of Select Hardwood offers excellent fingering in all 17 frets. These are set into a fingerboard made of Sipo and are marked with filigree dot inlays made of plastic. With the help of the black Ratio tuners, the 4 nylon strings, which are fixed at the other end to a bridge made of Morado, can be easily tuned. The visual highlight is undoubtedly the laser-etched Spearhead soundhole rosette, which gives the instrument a special character. Rounding out the appearance would be the matte finish, which tastefully highlights the structure of the top. The scope of delivery includes a robust bag.
Martin & Co has been making concert-sized ukuleles since the mid-1920s.
