While the solid walnut back and sides produce an excellently balanced sound, the solid sinker redwood top impresses with a lightning-fast response with warm overtones reminiscent of the sound characteristics of cedar. In addition, Sinker-Redwood visually exhibits a phenomenally varied play of colors created by mud and mineral-rich water from Northern California rivers where the redwood logs have often lain for up to a century.
