The Maxon CP-9 Pro+ Compressor circuit following the example of the eighties is based on the patented low-noise DBX Compression Technology, which is used in many high-end Pro Audio products. This circuit combines a high-quality VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) with an RMS sensor that ensures natural response at extremely low ambient noise levels not normally found in ground effects. In addition, the Maxon CP-9 Pro+ Compressor features extremely interactive threshold, ratio, and gain controls that allow a wide range of useful applications. With a maximum compression ratio of one to infinity, the Pro+ can be used as a limiter, depending on the setting as a sustainer or as a clean boost. Almost all well-known effects from the world of compression can be easily realized with the Maxon CP-9 Pro+ Compressor.
