In addition to a mahogany body with a modern double-cut design and a striking poplar burl top, Mayones equips this model with a bolt-on neck made of wenge and purpleheart. The slim D-profile neck ensures excellent playability and a smooth playing experience. As a modern metal guitar with a contemporary design, the Duvell Elite 7 VF impresses with outstanding playability and exceptional suitability for ultra-low tunings. Its individual string scales from 25.4" on the high E to 27" on the low B (645 mm to 687 mm) ensure a tight response and precise tone definition across the entire range. The mahogany body, featuring generously contoured cutaways and a smoothly sculpted neck heel, offers unhindered access to the upper frets. Meanwhile, the bolt-on Wenge and Purpleheart neck with a flat D-profile allows riffs and solos to flow effortlessly. For enhanced orientation on dark stages, fluorescent Luminlay side dots are embedded into the edge of the ebony fingerboard, guiding the way across 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets.
Tone shaping is handled by Mayones TKO humbuckers, developed by the renowned UK pickup maker Bare Knuckle specifically for Mayones guitars and the demands of modern rock and metal players. The neck pickup, featuring Alnico V magnets, produces a clear and open tone ideal for rich clean sounds and expressive overdrive leads. At the bridge, a ceramic humbucker delivers tight, aggressive tones with razor-sharp definition – even under high-gain settings and in the lowest tunings. For added versatility, a coil-split function allows access to authentic, high-quality single-coil tones. Additionally, a treble-bleed circuit on the volume knob ensures the high frequencies remain intact when the volume is rolled back.

String-through-body construction enhances tonal clarity and response, while the bridge’s wide adjustment range allows for precise intonation and optimal string action – even with heavier string gauges for low tunings. At the headstock, Hipshot Grip-Lock Open-Gear locking tuners, paired with a Graph Tech nut, ensure rock-solid tuning stability and quick string changes. Finally, Schaller S-Locks keep the guitar securely attached to the strap, even during the most intense stage performances.
