Artisan Cajon from Meinl with Rosewood playing surface

The Meinl AESELRW Artisan Edition Cajon Seguiriya Line features a handcrafted Baltic birch (Betula pendula) body and a "Rosewood" playing surface. The birch body produces a clear tone with plenty of punch, giving the Cajon assertive projection and a warm fundamental character. It is manufactured in the Spanish workshop of master cajon maker José "Pepote" Hernández Diaz. According to his specifications, the spiral snare strings are also wound by hand. Two sets of four pre-tuned strings each lie against the playing surface from the inside and thus provide the crisp snare effect. For a comfortable playing feel, the corners of the body have been rounded and the top of the front has two thumb notches. Soft rubber feet ensure a stable stand, even when the Cajon is angled slightly. Decorative wood inlays adorn the playing surface and set visual accents. The pop filter on the sound hole acts as a natural EQ and rounds out the sound.
