The Meinl CL18 Deluxe Claves are made from high quality, dense hardwood that produces a solid, cutting and bright tone. They are small in size that makes them very portable. But there small size doesn't match the large sound that's produced that makes them a rhythmic foundation on stage and in studio sessions.
