The Meinl Marathon Designer Series Congas are manufactured with a special high-gloss finish and decorated with an appealing design. The bottom of the conga is protected by a rubber cover, which makes the conga practically suitable for playing on any surface.

It is made of two layers of Siamese oak, which makes the Conga a reliable percussion instrument despite its low price. The True Skin buffalo head is tuned and positioned by means of 2.6 millimetre-thick hoops and 8 millimetre-thick tension hooks and does an excellent job in terms of sound.
