Meinl Travel Series Djembe PADJ4-M-G 10" Goat Head, Black

The Meinl Travel Series Djembe PADJ5-L-F is a handy plastic djembe for beginners as well as advanced players with a cool Phantom Black finish. The head measures 10" and the body is 20" high. Crisp sound and deep bass make this drum a small workhorse in any drum circle. The combination of goat skin head and plastic body makes this instrument super light and comfortable to carry. The instrument is also mostly weatherproof for outdoor use.

By using plastic for the Travel Djembe, Meinl's product developers were able to save a further 20% in weight compared to the fibreglass models. The Travel Djembe's thin shell is nevertheless very robust and insensitive due to the material. In addition, it is much easier to play and has a very sensitive, direct response with a pronounced depth range and assertive treble. The Travel Series Djembe is tuned using a traditional string tensioning system. A rubber ring on the bottom of the Travel Djembe protects the instrument from damage and ensures a non-slip stand.
