The Mellotron M4000D Rack is the digital replication of the legendary M400 - hardly any other electronic instrument has such a unique and unmistakable sound as this classic of the late sixties. Based in Los Angeles and Stockholm, Mellotron has studied the legend as meticulously and lovingly as no other and with the help of the latest high-end digital technology - the Mellotron M4000D Rack.

The special feature of this instrument is that it is made by the manufacturer of the original with the necessary respect for the original model. The digital recordings were made with the greatest care from the original tapes of the M400, which is why the special character of the M400 is reproduced without compromise.

The sound of the Mellotron M4000D Rack is so close to the original that even experts do not notice any significant differences. In addition, the Mellotron M4000D rack is robust, compact and, of course, completely maintenance-free.

Best possible and authentic sound quality

The sample playback engine of the Mellotron M4000D works with uncompressed 24-bit audio data for the best possible and authentic sound quality. Approximately 100 Mellotron and Chamberlain sounds can be stored directly in the device. More sounds can be loaded via cartridge.
