With the Mark IIC+ HRG, Mesa Boogie brings back one of the most iconic models in its history: powered by five 12AX7 preamp tubes and four 6L6 power amp tubes, the legendary amplifier delivers dynamic sounds from Clean to high-gain, while numerous features are available for grandiose tone colors. The abbreviation HRG stands for "Hundred-Watt / Reverb / Graphic EQ" and refers to the combination of 100 watts of power, integrated spring reverb and the integrated 5-band graphic EQ. This amp was already considered a true classic in the 1980s, as it combined plenty of headroom, a precise response and a lead section with exceptional dynamics. Musicians such as John Petrucci made the HRG their amp of choice for decades and helped the model achieve cult status.

One channel, two modes, reverb, 5-band graphic EQ and other features

The Mark IIC+ HRG features a single-channel design with two switchable modes: Rhythm and Lead. In Rhythm mode, the amp delivers everything from crystal-clear cleans to warm vintage crunch, while Lead mode unleashes the IIC+'s famous Mesa high-gain tone with its cascading gain structure. Separate gain and master controls for both modes, the switchable pull-lead option and the versatile 5-band EQ system open up a wide range of sound options. This is complemented by the switchable reverb section, the tube-driven FX loop and the flexible power control between 100 and 60 watts.
