Mesa Boogie Subway TT-800 Head - Class D head for E-Bass from the Subway series
The Mesa/Boogie Subway TT-800 combines two completely different-sounding preamps in a lightweight, stage-ready Class D head and thus unites the tradition of the legendary Boogie Bass 400+ with the modern Subway series. The two completely separate channels - the tube-based Boogie channel with the typical, warm "bloom" of the400+ tone stack and the precise, fast Subway channel with a tight low-end, clear mids and brilliant highs - are fed by a powerful 800-watt power amplifier and can be switched via an external footswitch or used for two instruments in parallel. Both channels have variable high-pass filters, extensive EQ options and an independent FX loop structure, allowing classic tube dynamics, modern punchiness or hybrid sounds to be shaped in a versatile way.
Versatile routing options for studio and stage
The extensive sound architecture is complemented by practice-oriented features such as Deep and Bright switches, a Global Gain for different attack behaviour and the new or Symmetry Control, which varies between tight, symmetrical overtones and open, uneven tube character. Two separate, tube-driven DI outputs (pre-EQ and post-master), silent practice options with headphones and aux-in, a low-noise Tuner-Out and USB power supply extend the range of applications from the studio to the big stage. Weighing only around 3.3 kg and featuring a sturdy aluminium housing, the Subway TT-800 offers a combination of flexibility, performance and classic Mesa sound aesthetics that appeals to both vintage purists and modern stage bassists alike.
