Mutable Instruments Grids is a sequencer module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. The module works as an algorithmic drum pattern generator with three channels, whose patterns can be morphed by control voltages or via knobs. Grid's "brain" is based on many patterns commonly found in electronic music. The patterns can be interpolated smoothly, with just a small change on the knob (or by CV). Thousands of variations can be intuitively controlled with the "Event Dense" parameter for each of the three channels (bd, sd, hh). This allows you to switch smoothly from a rigid pattern to one with lots of airy ghost notes, including fills and rolls. By CV controlling the Dense parameter, subtle to drastic variations of drum patterns can be created. An internal random function is also available for exciting patterns.
