With the KONTROL S49 MK3 , Native Instruments presents the third generation of the popular USB master keyboard controller. The exterior of version 3 impresses with its elegant design with metal and glass elements. The large, high-resolution colour display with glass surface is framed by new key islands that form a continuous, dust-proof user interface and are grouped according to function, as well as eight encoders and a 2-axis encoder. To the left of the keyboard are the two handwheels for pitch band and modulation made of anodised aluminium with RGB lighting. The tried-and-tested Light Guide above the keyboard displays sounds, split zones, switches, scales and other information.

The KONTROL S49 MK3 offers perfect software integration with next-generation NKS technology and ensures seamless interaction between all instruments, effects and sounds from the world of Kontakt. Thanks to the semi-weighted Fatar keyboard with 49 velocity-sensitive full-size keys, very sensitive playing is guaranteed. The highlight of the keyboard is the polyphonic aftertouch, which reacts to even the slightest pressure and enables nuanced control of the assigned parameters. Dedicated transport buttons for controlling the DAW round off the possibilities of this USB DAW controller.
The master keyboard has a lot to offer on the connection side. Power is supplied and communication with the DAW takes place via USB-C. A second USB-C connection is intended for a USB power supply to operate the controller with MIDI equipment without a computer. Inputs and outputs for MIDI allow the integration of one or more MIDI devices. Four pedal inputs for sustain, expression and two buttons further expand the control options.

The manufacturer provides a comprehensive download software package free of charge with the KONTROL S49 MK3. Please refer to the Native Instruments homepage for information on changes and compatibility with Windows and Mac systems and DAWs.
With the latest update, this device offers NKS support: control over 2000 NKS instruments and effects. It allows you to load, customise and manage presets with physical controls. Help with controller integration can be found on the Native Instruments website.
