Deep, controlled Bass for every studio
The Neumann KH 810 II is a reference quality subwoofer that delivers deep and powerful Bass down to 16 Hz. It has been specially developed to provide medium-sized control rooms and studios with precise and powerful bass reproduction. Thanks to DSP control and multichannel bass management, the KH 810 II is the ideal complement to the Neumann KH series studio monitors.
Flexible bass management for stereo, surround and immersive audio
With its versatile bass manager, the KH 810 II supports setups ranging from classic Stereo to surround and immersive configurations with up to 7.1.4 channels. For maximum flexibility, the KH 810 II has a wide range of analog and digital connections. Two balanced XLR inputs and outputs enable simple use in stereo operation, while four Sub-D25 interfaces according to the Tascam standard are available for more complex setups: two for up to twelve analog input channels and two more for up to eleven outputs. Furthermore, studio monitors can also be integrated digitally, as the KH 810 II is equipped with an AES3 BNC input and a total of seven BNC outputs for signal distribution to up to eleven loudspeakers. An additional daisy-chain output ensures uncomplicated forwarding in digital operation. The subwoofer therefore offers a future-proof connection for stereo, surround and immersive systems.
Newly developed technology for maximum precision
A 10-inch long-throw driver with ELFF™ technology (Extremely Linear Force Factor) works inside, which remains extremely low-distortion even at high levels. A robust metal grille protects the driver from mechanical damage, while the carefully tuned bass reflex enclosure prevents unwanted flow noise. This guarantees clean and linear bass reproduction.
DSP control and MA 1 Alignment
As a DSP-controlled subwoofer, the KH 810 II offers maximum sound fidelity and can be perfectly adjusted to the room using Neumann's MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment (available separately). This applies not only to DSP monitors, but also to analog models in the KH series. With the optional MA 1 Multichannel Extension, even the calibration of complex multi-channel systems is possible.
Efficiency and safety in everyday studio work
The powerful amplifier system of the KH 810 II delivers 180 watts to the woofer output stage and combines high performance with efficient use of energy. To ensure safe operation, the subwoofer is equipped with extensive protective circuits such as soft clip, thermal and excursion limiters. It also has an auto-standby function that can be deactivated if required. An integrated ground lift switch also helps to avoid unwanted ground loops and thus ensures an interference-free signal flow.
