The KK 105 U BK capsule head was developed on the basis of Neumann's renowned and award-winning KMS series, which has earned an excellent reputation in the field of wired stage microphones. In contrast to the frequently used dynamic microphone capsules, the KK 105 U relies on a high-quality true condenser capsule - for a sound quality that is otherwise only known from the studio. This technology delivers exceptional transparency and detail, impressively transferring the typical Neumann characteristics to the stage.

Despite its studio DNA, the KK 105 U is absolutely suitable for the road. It withstands high sound pressure levels without audible distortion and impresses with a uniform supercardioid polar pattern that enables effective feedback suppression across the entire frequency spectrum. Compared to dynamic stage microphones, the KK 105 U is more brilliant in its treble reproduction and significantly more precise in its impulse response - ideal for expressive and emotionally dense vocal performances. The linear frequency response also allows natural speech intelligibility without excessive EQ intervention - another plus point in terms of feedback stability.

The design is optimised for the close range: An integrated bass cut compensates for the proximity effect and ensures that even direct lip contact with the microphone does not result in overemphasised bass. The hardened steel basket reliably protects the capsule, while the built-in pop filter not only dampens plosive sounds but also keeps out moisture, for long-lasting performance and clearly defined S-sounds.
