NUX Pedals Tape Echo Demo:
The NUX Pedals Tape Echo at a glance:
With the Tape Echo, NUX brings a modern homage to the legendary Space Echo from 1974, which has inspired entire generations of guitarists and producers with its warm, characterful tape sound. The compact pedal is based on the company's own Core Image technology and faithfully reproduces not only the sound, but also the behavior and sonic artifacts of the original device. From wow and flutter to classic self-oscillation, all sonic characteristics of the original can be authentically reproduced. The NUX Tape Echo is visually and functionally closely based on the historical model and offers an intuitive user interface with classic parameters such as Bass, Treble, Repeat Rate (Time), Intensity (Repeats), Echo Volume (Level) and ReverbVolume (Reverb). The Select knob allows you to choose between seven different virtual playback heads, creating different rhythmic patterns in the delay signal. In addition, delay times can be conveniently adjusted via tap tempo - either in milliseconds or BPM. Also on board: an adjustable reverb section that complements the typical spring reverb-based space echo sound. Particularly practical is the self-oscillation mode, which is activated by holding the ON footswitch and can be used for creative feedback effects.
Looper function and MIDI support
The NUX Tape Echo is equipped with an integrated Looper (SOS mode), which offers up to 40 seconds of stereo recording time. The loop function is controlled via the two footswitches - start/stop, overdub and output are intuitive, while the OLED display provides a visual Feedback indication of the current operating status. The pedal also feels at home in modern setups thanks to MIDI In/Out and TRS compatibility. The included adapters allow easy integration into existing MIDI systems, while all MIDI functions can be configured via the editor. This means that presets, delay times and looper control can also be managed centrally. Thanks to 32-bit signal processing, a dynamic range of over 103 dBu and a system latency of less than 1 millisecond, the Tape Echo delivers extremely high-quality sound quality - without losing its characteristic analog flair. The compact design, robust housing and low-power operation (9 V, <150 mA) make the Tape Echo the ideal choice for live, studio and home recording applications.
