With the Okko TwinSonic MkII, the creative effects company from Leipzig sends the second
In order to create multi-faceted overdrive sounds, Okko equips the fully analogue TwinSonic MkII pedal with two distinct overdrives that can naturally be used individually or together. The first place of the internal signal chain is taken by the red channel, whose sound character is clearly oriented towards contemporary transparent drives with a smooth gain structure. The blue channel behind it, on the other hand, represents the original TwinSonic sound with the unmistakable open and dynamic character of a fully cranked vintage amp.
Thanks to identical controls on each channel of the Okko TwinSonic MkII, setting up the perfect overdrive sound is particularly intuitive. While the Gain and Volume pots adjust the amount of distortion and volume as usual, and the Hi-Cut control tames the highs, the EQ control determines whether the sound is open and full or tight and mid-focused. The three-position Mode switches also affect the bass response of each channel.
