The Ormsby Run 5 HypeGTR 6 Multiscale Quilt Top Dragonburst convinces not only with extremely tight sounds for modern metal, but also with an incredibly good playability thanks to its trendy multi scale construction and hot Ormsby De La Creme and Nunchucker pickups. Hidden under the extroverted Dragonburst finish are a mahogany body with cloud maple top and a glued maple wenge neck with ebony fingerboard and comfortable "Thin U" profile. The Ormsby Run 5 HypeGTR Dragonburst is completed by a Hipshot Hardtail and Hipshot Locking mechanics.
The Ormsby Run 5 HypeGTR 6 Multiscale Quilt Top Dragonburst not only convinces with its extroverted styling, but also with its high playing comfort and tight metal sounds.
With the flat "Thin U" profile and the flowing transition to the 38 mm thick mahogany body, the maple wenge neck can be played optimally.
As the name of the Ormsby Run 5 HypeGTR 6 Multiscale Quilt Top Dragonburst already suggests, the guitar manufacturer from Perth relies on the hip multi-scale construction. With 25.5" (648 mm) for the high E to 27" (686 mm) for the low E, each string vibrates with the optimum length for it, so that the electric guitar offers an extremely tight sound even in the lowest tunings. The mahogany body, which is just 38 mm thick, lies extremely comfortably on the body, while the five-piece maple wenge neck with "Thin U" profile and smooth transition to the body guarantees optimum playability of all 24 stainless steel frets on the ebony fingerboard. A further optical highlight is the ceiling and the headstock veneer in cloud maple, the grain of which is brought to life by the contrasting finish.

For the pickups of the Ormsby Run 5 HypeGTR 6 Multiscale Quilt Top Dragonburst, Ormsby relies on two in-house humbuckers that promise first-class sounds for modern rock and progressive metal on the guitar amplifier. The position of the Ormsby Nunchuker in the Alnico VIII version is on the bridge. With a crisp attack, the pickup precisely converts any riff or solo, while the relatively moderate output provides enormous clarity for cleanly defined sounds. In the neck position, the Ormsby De La Creme Humbucker more than lives up to its expectations and delivers sweet singing lead sounds as well as harmonic cleans. The push/pull switch in the Tone pot can also be used to split both humbuckers so that first-class single coil sounds are also available.
Hipshot Grip-Lock Open Gear tuners with Ormsby branding provide a precise tuning on the distinctive reversed headstock.
On the hardware side, the Ormsby Run 5 HypeGTR 6 Multiscale Quilt Top Dragonburst is equipped with add-on parts from the American manufacturer Hipshot for the toughest stage applications. Accordingly, the Hipshot Custom Hardtail, specially developed for Ormsby Multiscale guitars, is used on the body of the guitar. With its string guidance through the body, it supports the guitar's tighte sound development and at the same time enables optimum adjustment of intonation and string position, even during extreme drop tunings. On the distinctive Ormsby Reversed Headstock, a bone saddle and Hipshot Grip-Lock Open Gear clamp mechanisms with Ormsby logo ensure an accurate and stable tuning.
