The Ortofon 2M Black LVE 250 Premounted or SH-4 Black is the anniversary edition of the Ortofon 2M Black for the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven , and in this variant it was premounted on an Ortofon SH-4 headshell. The cartridge represents the flagship of the 2M series and was fitted with a Shibata diamond , whose slim cut ensures a large contact area with the record groove. This results in a particularly detailed reproduction that represents the entire sound spectrum of a record and thus meets the highest demands. With an output voltage of 5 mV, it offers optimum sound reproduction and sound accuracy. The bodies of the 2M series are made of Hopelex, which brings a high rigidity and prevents unwanted resonances during the output. pickup of the 2M series also feature Ortofon's Split Pole Pin technology, whereby moving magnet systems achieve a frequency response that is as flat as that of moving coil pickups.
